Hi Mary. I came across this great album looking for photos of Ashcroft. I would like to visit Ashcroft next month when I am in Aspen on a business trip (for real!) and found your album. Wonderful shots. Won't be there with the aspen foliage but it still is such a beautiful area regardless of the season. Thanks for sharing! Ken - Maryland

I love Colorado and plan to visit it this Fall. I loved all your aspen photos. I plan to visit the snowmass area and would like to drive up the hidden road you mentioned in your photo. I would so much appreciate directions to that road from Snowmass Village. My e-mail address is csprings44@aol.com The aspens there are so vivid and textured--I want to drive through that valley to enjoy God's beauty. Next time you're in the San Juans, you should visit "Owl Creek Pass," out of Ridgeway. I'll be photographing "Chimney Peak" and the Cimmaron Range" there. This is where John Wayne filmed his famous Western movie "True Grit." At the top of the pass, there is a sign that points out the exact location where the shoot out between Rooster Cogburn and Ned Pepper took place. God Bless! Colleen

Great pictures! As a resident and photographer of Colorado myself, I'm pretty jealous of what you've done.

Great pictures of aspens. I could almost hear them "quaking&quo t;! Next time could you document the old ghost town nw of Aspen? There is a wonderful rustic eatery nearby. Thanks for sending the photos. Cathy
