What wonderful pictures of my childhood home! I lived most of my life in this home. It is nice to see what it looked like before I lived there. My parents are the current owners and innkeepers (Elk Forge Bed & Breakfast, Retreat, and Spa Services). Thank you for putting these online. I'm excited to see pictures of the 3rd floor once you get a chance to put them online too :) Chris Lenderman

Such a beautiful house, I can almost imagine the many rooms and see a few knooks and cranny's one can hide in with a good book..or just to dream... I can almost hear the laughter of family gatherings. How sad it must've been to see it leave the family, but oh the memories you must have!!! And they last longer and are brighter ...

oh but i love your grandmothers house laura...it must have been wonderful to grow up there. it looks like a manor style house and i always wanted one of those. my father was a junk man and me, my 3 sisters and 2 brothers grew up in a junk yard...i guess thats why i am a dreamer now. that was my escape; into the fantasy and sci-fi i avidly watch today. your friend rose.
