I am certain I have almost an identical print of the STL Zoo giraffes as your 3rd one. Isn't that funny? I entered my Raja (baby) in a Photo contest at the zoo and had honorable mention (2nd Place) but the person that one had a picture of chimps kissing. LOL

Hi, Me again. I have lots of shots of Raja as a baby and they are in boxes somewhere. When I find them, I'll scan and send put them in a special album so you can see more of him as a baby. I actually (somewhere) have a video of him playing with a tire inside the building. I live in St. Peters so probably not too far from you. Hi Sharon and greetings from the Bluegrass. I just had to stop by for a few minutes to look at some of your fine photos. I will tell you a little quick story about the St Louis Zoo. I stayed at a Hotel, and as a part of their service, they provided a free ride to the zoo or other close by locations. I got to the zoo just fine, and they told me, just call us, and we will send the van over to pick you up. Guess what, 2 hours after I had called, they findly sent a taxi over, long after the zoo had closed. Great photos here. You sure get some dandy photos. You must have the patience of Job. Fun album, great theme! Captured some really amazing shots of these animals! That emerald tree boa is stunning! My fav. is the cheetah shots as that is my special big cat i love!! So many of the animal shots are fantastic, I am not a big fan of zoo's but when the species can't be kept alive in the wild this is the next best thing i guess! Well done and many thanks for sharing! It's so funny to look at these beautiful and amazing animal pictures! We were delighted to find peccaries: we love these shy animals. On very lucky days, it was seldom, we met them in the Sonoran Desert! May be they were smaller than yours. We love the Giraffe head and the Okapi head emerging from the green grass! The sunning turtles are cute! We look forward now to our trip to Arizona, we plan to be there on September 16th. But we don't forget our Family meeting - Aug.16 - in Bern: short visit, but we had a wonderful morning trip through 'our' Bern (second album in oertlif_2). love the photos in this album......especially the one of the cheetah. of all the zoos i've visited in my life, i've never been able to get a good photo of a cheetah. they have always been behind fences & just no way possible to get a good photograph.... your pictures are awesome...i can't resist a zoo album....thanks for sharing the photos!

Oregon. 20 years ago they were gorgeous. Now they all have anthracnose and most of them are gone. We have a 40 year old ash on the west side of our house that we fertilize like crazy to keep it ahead of the disease. Have a wonderful New Year!!! :-) Jane

Sharon just a note, I did forget to answer your question about flash photography when I wrote to you earlier. Depending on the amount of light inside a room whether I use the flash or not if in doubt I usually take one with and one without. I had never seen any of these ducks before Sharon, I was so taken up with them I could'nt resist taking many pics and enquiring with the owner their name. Arn't they just gorgeous.
