Wedding Wishes (Featured 11/12/2005)

Your beautiful wedding brought tears to my eyes, especially learning your Dad passed away so shortly after your wedding. I'm sure he carried you & your family in his heart while he walked with the angels to heaven. It's a hard road when you lose someone you love, you must find a way to go on while things around you go on as they always have. I believe you & your husband will have a happy life together. Cherish each day as if it were your last. And my God bless you all.

What a beautiful gift for your father, and a beautiful wedding for you both. I lost my father also to lung cancer in 1998. I still think of him often and take comfort knowing he is in a better place, watching over me. His photo is next to my bed and on my desk at work. Thank heavens for photos! "Draw close, hold hands, life is short, God is good." You seem to have already learned this life lesson very well. Congratulations on your marriage! The wedding is lovely, and every photo is permeated with the spirit of family love, loyalty, and sharing. I count it a blessing that I found your album on the website just today, the day after my Mom and sister took my Dad back home. They brought him for a visit. He is 88 and has dementia. They were here for a week and I cannot be sure that he really understood who we all are, and where he was. I am sure that he was able to recognize the warmth of our love, the enduring love of my Mom, and the joy of being together with people who love you and know where you come from. For you to have your father present, alert and cognizant is a very great blessing. How wonderful that he knew that he was seeing his wish come true, and knew that you made it happen because your family and friends have such love for each other and for him. This is an auspicious beginning, may your good fortune continue and accompany you all the days of your lives. I live with 91 year old grandma. I am 32 and still single and her only wish is to see me married before she dies or at least to die knowing someone is there beside me. May God grant her that wish.
