  • Merry Christmas, sharon, wow, can you tell I had fun, walking around with you looking at the amazing variety of sometimes a bit crazy trees. Next time you know better than to give me spiked egg-nog before we start :D...Cheers and happy holidays. Marita

  • Hi Sharon, thank you for the invitation, and sorry it's taken me so long to get around to view your wonderful album. Those trees are a work of art, and I hope the benefit raised a pot of dough for the kids; a most worthy cause. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos. Love and hugs from Keith.

  • A fine album for a great cause. Here in SLC the Festival of the trees will be next weekend and it benefits the hospital that I work at: Primary Children's Medical Center. The festival is one of several events that allow us to give a lot of 'Charity Care' to the needy in our community. Thanks for sharing an important event that reminds us of the true spirit of the season. • Thank you Sharon, it was a beautiful slideshow...It is not yet December and we celebrate Chritsmas...In my homeland we started the holiday exactly a month from today....on 24th eve parents in hiding of darkened rooms after they sent their kids to a neighbour or to movie..decorated the tree is great hurry...Later when finished the kids were already dancing with their cold little feets and excited as they were waiting for baby Jesus...As in my country not Santa Claus brings the tree and gifts, but an angel flies in tru window or slides down from chimney wiht the ready decorated tree. When parents are ready with tre and gifts under the tree, they RING the BELL on top of three as anounciation of Angel arrival..Thus we have the bell on top...near the treettop.. Angels are silent and vanish quick...so parents open the door and say Baby Jesus arrived lets celebrate...Of course kids dont care so much in that magical moment of who...just ran to the tree and admire it.,...It is a LAW, we dont touch the gifts untill together parent and kids and all who there for Holy Night we hold hands and sing a Hungarian version of Holy Nigth, but it is exactly a song what happened with the tree, as is "Angel from Heaven came down to earth oh sheperds..to show you the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.. Than adults finally relax...dinner and opening the gifts as no Hungarian could sleep a nigth with the oh so much waited gifts under the tree...For us that is Holy Nigth... from December 24 is our Christmas..and 25th is second day and 26th is third day...Of course we have Advent....but that is our old tradition, since we became Christians in the year of 1000, January 1. I left my home with a tiny handbag on December 26th 1978....to arrive to US as a tourist after a very risky trip ...I had three week visa permit...So Christmas is bittersweet to me Sharon dear, as m I left my home..Jesus was born and I was set free. God bless.Marra

  • WOW, Sharon - another full album of trees! What a wonderful cause, but I couldn't help smile that you and Clarence have been there in "2205, 2006 and now, 2007." I think you jumped ahead a bit to see it in 2205 - GRIN!!! Your captures are great and God bless you for supporting the cause. Love, Judy

  • A very pretty album, Sharon! I think these tree festivals are great that benefit charities. Bob and I went to the Habitat for Humanities Christmas Tree Celebration this morning, but I was really disappointed because they were in a very dark room and we didn't take our tripods. Oh well, it benefited Habitat for Humanities! :-) I am having let-down from the kids going home after Thanksgiving today, so I'm not in the mood to even look at my photos! :-( Silly me! Anyway, this event in Rochester looks so similar to the one here in St. Charles and you did a good job with the photography. Hugs, Sharon
