Hi Frances, brilliant pics and the island looks gorgeous. No wonder you enjoyed it so much. As for the rocks with the rounded hollows. This is caused by torrential water forming small recesses in the rocks into which gravel is trapped. As the water rushes by the gravel is swirled around and erodes the rocks to form these little pots. I didn't sleep through all my geology classes at university! You can see the same up at The Soldiers Leap at Blairgowrie.

Dear Frances, Well thank you for showing me something I never knew Majorca was like this at all. Looks like you had a fabulous time. Take care now, Jill

Hi Frances, something different, but quite fascinating, some of those big peaks looked great. Nice to see that there is something to the island other than beaches full of bodies! Andrew
