  • Wow, Ding! I could see that you were right in the middle of it all! Love immensely the bright colors of the balloon characters, especially when you took the shots against the bright blue San Diego sky. The askewed compositions of the balloon photos only highlight the fun & excitement of the occasion. I also particularly like the broad smile of the "Chief"! It speaks volumes!   • San Diego hosts the yearly Holiday Bowl. The Holiday Bowl is by invitation only to a couple of top College Football teams. The prelude to the Bowl is the Big Bay Balloon Parade and the San Diego Bay parade of lights. The Holiday Bowl occurs a day before New Year's Eve.
