Hi Gabriela! Greetings from Portugal! It has been raining now for several days here and continuing they say. HUHHH! Had nearly enough already. Gabriela! It is nice to have you back again! Though belated, I wish you a very happy birthday ! India is not very hot now. However, I shall certainly pass on your message to them both. We are having dinner together on friday. I look forward to meeting them. Regarding the stone temples, Vijayanagar empire and its capital Hampi was a thriving economic and military force in its zenith. The king Krishnadevaraya was a very powerful king and ruled over major part of south india. The temples were built mostly during his days. They exhibit the architecture of that time with intricate carvings etc. In those days the kings patronized craftsmen and by building huge temples he kept the artisans occupied and employed. Today some of the temples still have deities in them which are worshipped. The rest are cared for by the archeological department. I wish you well! Greetings, Suresh

Hi Garbriela! Thank you for your compliments on my Ukraine Revisited album. Interesting that you have been living in Japan for 20 years. I left Japan 21 years ago. I lived and worked in Japan 1981 - 1983 as a technical writer for Minolta Camera Company in Osaka. I loved the country - but I have not been back since I left :-( When I left, I also traveled to Phuket (among many, many Asian destinations on my round-the-world way home). I would love to hear more about you - how you got to Japan, what you do there, etc. Looks like you have a lot of Webshots friends, too! I took many, many photos while I lived in Japan, but that was way before the digital age. They are all slides. I found them this past summer when my husband and children were still in Ukraine on a long visit and I was home alone (in Rochester, New York). I would love to scan the better slides someday. What a job that would be! But having lost many pictures to humidity and mold, it would probably be the way to go. Have some sushi for me!!! Hello Gabriela and Mr. T, It is always good to know that you're taking pictures along the way, I hope scrap-booking too. A picture showing sushi on your plate, ugh! Dearest Gabriela, you are so creative! I love your collages, and the two shots in the blossoms are so well done. I also love the shot of the two of you in the hotel lobby (#49) - it appears to be right out of a Bogart movie :-) Enjoy your spring - ours is so disappointing this year - it simply never stops raining. Nice additions the collage of grandpa and grandchildren is so nicely done, great job my friend. Do you stop people and have them take your photos? Pretty risky here in USA to do so.
