My maternal great-grandparents, Ed and Esther Joanne (Wheeler) Smith with their twins, Lorraine and Lorena (my grandma) and Lorraine's children, George and Mary Ellen. Taken in Granny Smith's front room at her home in Lindsay Hollow, Sciotoville. My great-grandfather died before I was born but Granny Smith lived until I was eleven. I loved visiting her. She was soft and quiet and read to me from a musty old book of poetry. I didn't understand the poetry at the time but loved her voice, reading so eloquently.
