Album Info:

I wanted to mount the gunsight on the top board as close as possible to the short edge away from the hinge, but I also wanted to leave some space in case I decided to drill my tangent screw right through the top board someday. The default mounting mechanism for the Daisy gunsight is a dovetail mount and I couldn't be bothered to fashion one myself. Instead, I decided to use two 3/4" x 1/2" zinc 'Inside L Corner Braces' (purchased from Ace Hardware as a set of four for $2.29). I drilled pilot holes of 7/64" before I screwed in the wood screws that came with the corner braces. I haven't yet bothered to 'Dremel' out the sharp tips of the screws poking from the bottom. It isn't critical that the braces be mounted perfectly parallel to the short edge, but getting them as parallel as you can helps.
