The Last Supper - A Food for Thought

Album Info:
People don't just eat; they have meals. At meals around the table, especially with family and friends, often our souls are fed more wholly than our bodies. Meals nurture our humanity: meals make us more than animals. And as human beings, the choices we make about the food we eat and about the way we eat it determine the shape we give to our lived world. The Last Supper meal of our God on earth is an epiphany for all meals: there we realize that our eating of food is an emblem of our humanity, of our culture, and of our being and becoming Christian persons in body, soul and spirit. There is so much detail here as shown in the flow of the robes and the facial expressions of the figures. To Christ's right, you can see the agitated St Thomas and James the greater whose hand would have been raised here. Nice capture here, Mary Ann!
