Thank you, dear friends. The commentary is a fragment of an Italian poem by S. Quasimodo, and this is why it's so difficult to translate. It's a touching poem on the poet's mother and the photo of my mum as a young is to commemorate her death on last June the 24th. Thank you! I appreciate a lot your kind support

The commentary must really be beautiful ! I tried to translate it via an online traslation website. It did fairly well - but far from perfect. Languages are complex and not easy to translate. I appreciate vintage family photo's ... of times past, a different world then. Very Respectfully, Seattle, USA
