Album Info:

[Unfortunately, this picture has suffered from shake. I didn't realize that it was so when taking it.] I decided to make a 'base' for the camera ball head as the tightening knob on the ball head was too low down. In addition, a base would reduce the sideways stress on the top board from a mounted camera. The small block of wood (3.3"x1.5"x1.5") was sawed out of a discarded '2-by-4' stud. The main bolt is 1/4" x 3" 20 tpi which fits into the threads of the ball head (1/4" 20 tpi is a standard). The washers and the nut were picked accordingly. I purchased them from Ace hardware for $0.55.
