When I was small my grandmother told me about an old Easter tradition from Romania. In the Easter's morning the childrens washed their faces with fresh water from the fountain where they put first a red painted egg and green grass leafs. They make this to be always young and beautiful.

Great story to go with a terrific photo. Been looking for you Taiwan photos but have not found them. Thanks very much for your comments on my Future pictures I appreciate it very much. I am considering leaving webshots as soon as I can find another site. I have tried Red Buttons but was not happy with it. Thanks again and best wishes Bill

Here (in Maramures) is a similar tradition, only you put in the water a white egg (for having a white, delicate skin) , a coin ( for being precious like money) and nettle leaves ( for being lively ).
