Our 1st Pop-Up camper: a Starcraft. We only had this camper for about 1 year before we moved from SC to KS and had to sell it. Don and I were married on July 18,1980 and quickly found out that we both enjoyed camping. Don had camped quite a bit as a kid/during his military time and traveled across Europe. I had only camped while I was a camp councilor during high school/college, but always loved it. Our 1st camp-out together was in the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Great Smoky and Appalachian Mountain regions in NC. We had used a small, 2 person A-frame tent. It bearly had enough room to sit up in. That is when we decided to buy our 1st PUP. The photo above is our first trip with it to St. Augustine,FL. The camper did not have a sink or a stove when we bought it, but Don put them in for me...it really helped with cooking! This camper had a very small floor area with one single bed and one double bed, but enough room for 2 people.
